Alpina 4001 Elektro ... the all time classic, with e-drive
Now with Elastikflap technology, factory finished rudder with concealed hinge and minimal gap under flaps and aileron surfaces.Many customers expressed their wish for an electric version of the Alpina and indeed a number of Alpina 4001’s were adapted for electric drive systems. This gave us the confidence to produce the purpose built Alpina 4001 Elektro.
Based largely on the pure glider, the Alpina 4001 Elektro has been optimised for electric power. With its somewhat shorter fuselage the optimum balance point is easily achievable. The additional weight of the drive system is considered by many pilots to be an advantage as it serves to enhance the dynamic flight characteristics of the model yet it still responds very well to thermal activity. The model’s broad speed range makes it easy to cross large areas of poor air quickly and easily, and you will need to have no fear of turbulent conditions.
