TANGENT CONTESTLINE - Models are manufactured entirely in Germany and are subject to very a stringent quality management regime. Our high standards make it possible for us to be able to guarantee availability of spare parts for up to 5 years.

The CONTESTLINE range ensures an exceptionally high level of construction which serves to clearly differentiate our products from others in the market:

1. INTRO-Technik: Developed by TANGENT in 1990, all parts of the wing are manufactured in one integral process, i.e. the wing torsion box is completed in one bonding procedure. Leading edges, trailing edges, root ribs, wing tips are all bonded together under the skin.
2. Load Distribution: All two and three-part wing panels incorporate adequate spars to distribute the loads evenly across the span. The spars are made from a specially selected hardwoods and installed between upper and lower wing skins. The wing joining tubes are incorporated into the spar structure using a special technique which ensures that the loads are effectively distributed across the wing and fully dissipated without incurring any damage.
3. Fibreglass parts: All fuselages are tested in practical applications prior to production. Depending upon type and target application the components are strengthened in the more highly stressed areas using a combination of Carbon rovings and other Carbon fabrics.
4. Prefabrication of GRP parts: All fuselages are supplied with Bowden cables pre-installed. Depending on the individual model, the vertical stabilizer is also supplied fully moulded as an integral part of the fuselage.
5. All sports models are supplied with high quality Carbon canopies.
6. 6. All fuselages incorporate integral captive bolts or Multi-Lock systems - depending upon type of model.
7. Prefabrication of kits: Contestline models are supplied complete with high-quality accessories including adhesives and covering material. The kits include comprehensive building instructions and setup data.

Our Almost Ready to Fly (ARF) range of products are supplied pre-covered using the highest quality polychrome covering materials. The level of prefabrication of our Almost Ready to Cover (ARC) range is such that very little time is needed to complete the model.

All Contestline models are subject to constant review to ensure the use of latest materials and manufacturing techniques.
